Buhari, Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen -a father and his adorable sons
December 25th 2019 was expected to be a very bleak Christmas for millions of Nigerians. They had been severely economically battered all year long using deliberate economic warfare masked as progressive policies. The culmination was a total blockade of the southern land borders to all exports and imports. This was excused as a means to stop rice smuggling into the country. Curiously enough -or not- markets where southerners trade began going up in flames, rice prices continued to rise whilst the northern borders -which do not really exist or policed- allowed free smuggling of the same rice banned in the south. This decision to blockade the south was taken -with no warning nor consultation- conveniently after the Muslims had celebrated Eid-fitri. I predict the ban will be temporarily lifted or enforcement relaxed just before the next big Muslim festival.
The preceding is however a preamble. The 2019 Christmas was marked by Boko Haram -cum ISWAP- with the execution of 11 Christians whom they had captured and -according to a video seen online days earlier- were in negotiations with the Buhari government. The same government who -as opposition- sabotaged the fight against Boko Haram -by misinformation- that made military armament difficult for Nigeria.
Ordinarily such mass cold blooded murder would have triggered a media frenzy but it didn’t. it didn’t because a government -who for 5 years justified extra-judicial incarceration- suddenly freed one of their victims -as a bonus- due to an unrelenting clamor for the release of Omoyele Sowore that had culminated in the attempted murder of Deji Adeyanju by Buhari sponsored northern thugs. The protests for Sowore’s freedom ha attracted international attention to the lawlessness and human rights violation of the Buhari government. The release of Sowore also happened within hours of a meeting between the new US envoy -to Nigeria- meeting with Buhari. A meeting in which he tried -in his characteristic puerile plausible deniability move- to wash his hands off the state orchestrated kidnap. These include the several kidnaps he publicly justified on international TV, suffice to say nobody bought his crap.
What is worthy of note however are the events that led to Boko haram banding with ISIS to morph into ISWAP. Chief of this is President Muhammed Buhari’s relationship with Boko Haram, one documented with his public ideological subscription to the terrorist organization and cemented with his pampering actions -as a father would a destructively beloved son- towards them that include
- Making excuses for the mass murderers
- Advocating amnesty for them
- Making payment in millions of euro to them
- Releasing captured book haram terrorists back into the society and back to the war they wage
- Diverting army resources from decimating book haram to go lay siege on the South East
- Arming book haram by tactically allowing them overrun army bases from where they capture weapons
- Keeping Northern Muslim incompetent service chiefs in place as they made book haram stronger
- Diverting international attention away from book haram deadly capabilities by selling misinformation that they had been degraded and defeated
- “Humanizing” Boko Haram by equating them to unarmed advocacy groups like IPOB and trying to tie Sowore to same Boko Haram.
Buhari’s actions are not hidden from the various world intelligence agencies. They are the ones who affirmed that Buhari indeed paid millions of Euros in ransom to Boko Haram -his favorite faction- to secure the release of Dapchi school girls and was not bothered to insist on the release of the only Christian girl amongst these girls. She remains captive as I write this.
Buhari’s Islamic fundamentalism comes in tandem with unbridled Fulani supremacy. Buhari -who was supposed to be an elder statesman- in 2001 advocated for Sharia law all over Nigeria and vowed NEVER to rest until it was done “I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria,” Buhari said, quoted in press reports. “God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country.” Buhari would also say -whilst fully lucid- that Muslims should vote only for someone who would defend their faith. Through the years -whilst trying to attain the apex position to be able to implement all his Islamic extremist ideologies- Buhari advocated for the granting of amnesty to Boko Haram despite their indiscriminate and senseless murders. Just like he took time to go to Oyo state to champion the land grab cause of Fulani herdsmen who murdered Oyo state citizens and were, in return, casualties as the victims resisted the attack.
Buhari’s morbid standards as regards his Fulani supremacy agenda mirrors that of his Islamic fundamentalism. It differs only in his ensuring the powers and resources of the Federal Republic of Nigeria are used to protect killer Fulani herdsmen during their murderous rampages and their continued occupation of the lands they steal through these ongoing and systematic genocide. Reports include refusal of the security agencies to respond to notification of impending attacks by these Fulani Marauders. Buhari openly and publicly refused to act as Commander-In-Chief to stop these Fulani militia-led attacks on other ethnic groups and infamously said to Benue State governor to “go accommodate his fellow countrymen” -the killers- after they murdered hundreds as Nigeria soldiers and Police stood and watched as obviously instructed by Buhari.
It was the thus easy for ISIS who had been defeated and displaced in Iraq and Syria to migrate their expertise and fighters to provide support for Boko Haram in Nigeria since it was clear the President of the country fully shared their ideology and was more responsive in releasing captured terrorists. There are even strong rumors that these terrorists are being recruited to work in the same Nigeria Army or alongside. A practice that would explain how easily these terrorists overran several military bases, murdered hundreds of Christian soldiers within the Nigeria Army -who were then secretly buried– and led to withdrawal by the NA from positions they held before Buhari took power in 2015.
It was thus a morbid humor from the same Buhari who fits all description of a State acting terror sponsor to release a statement calling for Nigerians not to allow Boko Haram’s Christmas day murder of 11 Christians divide the nation!
If any entity divided the nation, it is Buhari whose islamization agenda is brazen and openly done. He ensured ALL positions that controlled guns, had the powers of arrest, controls the nation’s borders/ports, have powers to arrest, spend revenue at source and controls immigration or national ID cards are headed by Northern Muslims -in violation of the constitution. He is also on record reposing confidence in the same set of people as attacks after attacks claim Nigerian lives and properties. Buhari would in one breath claim the attackers are foreigners and in the same breath say his Northern Muslim intelligence heads and National gate-men are doing a good job. Does that not indicate the job he appointed them to do was to allow Boko haram and Killer Fulani herdsmen overrun Nigeria with Boko Haram decimating Christian soldiers in the North East and the Killer Fulani herdsmen grabbing lands and killing Christian farmers in the south.
Buhari’s bigotry is not lost even on the World bank who were forced to confirm that the World bank was instructed by Buhari to concentrate whatever assistance they wanted to render Nigeria in the Northern region. He would also attempt to take land in the south and gift it to killer Fulani herdsmen who had murdered tens of thousands of those southerners. It is also noteworthy that no Fulani herdsman has been arrested or charged to court after these mass murders, they are in fact protected under the command of Buhari, renaming towns stolen from their victims as they live in same victims houses.
Perhaps the greatest indication of his unrelenting quest to turn Nigeria into an Islamic caliphate is how he illegally forced out a Christian CJN, appointed another Islamic fundamentalist CJ -who openly sanctioned perjury to keep Buhari in power and islamization on course. The same CJ recently called for a change in the secular constitution of Nigeria to accommodate sharia law. This sharia law is what Boko haram wants to force over Nigeria, what Buhari advocated for all over Nigeria, same thing the CJ -who sits atop the courts- brazenly and openly repeated.
The foregoing provides more than a circumstantial connection between Buhari and Boko haram ideology and goals. Buhari is a known pathological liar who lies on record even as he pursues his extremist agenda openly. He relies on an army of conquered aides to explain away his brazen islamization, hoping -by the time the people are fully aware- it would be irreversible when its done. One of this aide named Femi Adesina is on record saying on live TV that it was better for Southerners to relinquish their lands to Fulani Herdsmen than be killed!
That the current President of Nigeria could effectively and actively be a terror sponsor may not be in doubt when all the events that led to the Christmas killings of those Christians are pieced together. When videos of his statements -including those on international stage and that of his aides- defending killer Fulani herdsmen and down playing the activities of Boko Haram are taken into consideration, it becomes even easier to conclude that Buhari might be the true father of Boko haram, and the new killer Fulani herdsmen. What is not in doubt is that he represents a clear and present danger to the West African sub-region. A threat that could see Nigeria become the new seat of ISIS caliphate where they will be effectively protected by a State actor.
I am almost certain the CIA and other world intelligence agencies have arrived at this same conclusion, or which rational President will routinely release caught terrorists -as a national policy- but clamp peaceful protesters in dungeons for daring to refuse to worship him?
Whilst I was writing this, news came that men of Nigeria Customs Service along with some soldiers went into Yaba market in Lagos State to burgle several storage-cum-warehouses used by predominantly Igbo traders. Goods that run into billions with cash were carted away as I was reliably informed. The mistake anyone can make is to give the buhari headed caliphate the benefits of doubt as regards their intention. What more could be the intention of two agencies of government -both illegally headed- by Northern Muslims, raiding -as would armed robbers- the goods of Igbo traders whilst they were faraway in their various home towns and villages for the Christmas and New Year celebrations?
Make no mistakes about it, Buhari and his caliphate are spoiling for a war. A war he spent over 30years preparing for. A war he began the moment he had powers to make appointments in 2015. All his actions, inaction, policies, borrowings, unapproved withdrawals, unexplained expenditures, unexplained absences and travels, and deliberate positioning of Northern Muslims in ALL key sensitive positions only makes sense when viewed from the prism of war preparedness.
Perhaps the last piece he requires to fall into place is the $30bn he wants to borrow. Once he has this, Hades will enlarge itself because financial constraint that might be stopping the caliphate final march would be solved. Whilst the situation appears overwhelming and almost hopeless, he can still be stopped if the total powers he gave to ONLY Northern Muslims can be broken.
