Immortality
This is something I have been pondering for years. Why do living things die? Why do people die? Why do we age? Is it possible to live forever? What tells our cells to die or tells the heart to stop beating?
Is that we have a specified number of heart beats and we die once those numbers are up? Or do we die because we have unconsciously programmed our mind to “know” that we can’t live forever?
Many questions heh?
But here are my thoughts and I do welcome yours, it would be nice to live forever don’t you think?
I had always been intrigued by the hundreds of years people in the bible lived before dying, we have 600years, 800 plus years!
There were two explanations I was ready to accept back then; either that 24hrs was way shorter than what it was now, meaning the earth was spinning way faster than it is now or the DNA of people back then was way different and purer than ours now. I refused to accept the common theory that the writers of the bible counted those years wrong because they did mention normal years like (famine for 7 years etc)!
I also love the story of Adam and Eve in the garden, especially the part where God ‘recalled’ the serpents legs (hehehe) and it started slithering on its belly.
I want you to fast forward to the event in the sinai desert when God caused snakes to bite the insatiable isrealites where they requested for beef saying they needed a change of diet, to save them once Gods anger went down, He told Moses to hang a serpent on a stick and whosoever gazed at it became healed.
Now most bible scholars would say it was symbol of Jesus on the cross but I would say its a way of God telling us that our DNA has a helix shape!
This led me to believe that before we ate the apple, we were already immortal in the garden but once we sinned, God changed our DNA which he tried to tell us by removing four branches from it (the four legs of the serpent) thus changing its shape into a helix one, one that dies!
If mankind can discover the missing codes that should be in our present DNA, then we would become immortal!
As proof, know that the DNA of other animals remains helix and they weren’t punished for any sin 🙂
Do you know that we don’t just die? If the body is deprived of oxygen maybe by axyphiation we don’t die until oxygen is reintroduced into the body then our cells start a chain reaction where a ‘death signal’ is sent out that ‘it is time to die o’ and poo poo poo! paa paa paa!! our cells commit mass suicide and we die!
Now don’t argue (its not elementary biology, hehehe)
If we could block that death signal then we could live way even longer and not die of things like drowning and suffocation but that still doesn’t rule out death by old age so we would still remain mortal.
Now, why do we age? I just don’t understand why we age! After all, our cells are being replaced daily with new cells, so theoretically we should continue growing like reptiles that never stop growing! If we could slow down ageing then we would also be closer to immortality.
I don’t feel old personally, I only feel I have been around longer than some people but not ‘feel old’, at least my mind doesn’t, so why is my body telling me otherwise? It means whatever makes us age is physical! We need to discover what it is and slow it down!
But what happens if someone now loses a hand, finger or leg? Why can’t those limbs grow back? After all our DNA tells the cells the kinds of organ they should turn into! So technically we should be able to grow back a new leg when required or a kidney! I believe that missing parts of our DNA would solve that issue. Hehehe!
So in semi conclusion; because I would be revisiting this issue or don’t you want to live forever?
The four missing codes (four missing limbs of the serpent) have four different functions. Code YL1 (yeah, means YomiLawal1, Watts no get two heads joor) stops our body giving the ‘suicide signal’, Code YL2, stops our bodies from ageing, Code YL3 tells cut off parts to regenerate and Code YL4 prevents cell malfunctions and stop diseases and also regulates the other 3 codes and interfaces with our present DNA so that we don’t have people growing like 3 hands, or something hehehe!
